Solution Key Features
Replaces traditional side-view mirrors
The system effectively replaces traditional side-view mirrors, providing a wider monitoring range and ensuring there are no dead spots. This eliminates the problem of blind spots that can occur with traditional side-view mirrors, allowing drivers to have a more comprehensive view of their surroundings.
Side omni-directional monitoring
2 separate HD lenses on the camera for side rear and side front monitoring allow you to clearly see the wide field of view on one side of the truck. This helps reduce blind spots and provides a better lane changing and turning experience.
Monitor Split Screen Display
The monitor supports 2 HD video signal inputs for receiving video signals from 2 separate lenses on the camera.2 Split Screen Display: The upper half of the screen is used for side and rear monitoring, while the lower half displays the side and front area, providing more information and allowing the driver to easily deal with complex driving situations.
Optional Rear Monitoring
An additional rear view reversing camera can be added to the solution for monitoring the rear blind spot, providing an extra view and guide line especially when reversing, making reversing safer and easier. This further adds to the overall safety of the truck.
Installation
Monitor Mounting
2pcs 12.3″ monitors are mounted on the left and right AB pillar areas of the truck (turn holes as appropriate). These monitors should be securely fastened to prevent them from loosening or shaking while driving.
Long Arm Camera Mounting
2 long arm cameras are mounted and fixed on the left and right side of the truck above the front end. Different mounting positions can be chosen for different models to ensure that they provide the required monitoring range and are not obstructed by the rear container. The mounting positions should be accurately measured and adjusted to ensure that the coverage area of the lenses is maximised.
Connecting cables
Connecting cables need to be securely attached to the monitor and cameras to ensure reliable data and power transfer.
Calibration and Testing
Once the system is installed, the cameras need to be calibrated and tested to ensure they are angled and positioned correctly, the monitor displays a clear image, and all functions properly.
Camera Lens coverage area
Each long arm camera features two lenses, one for side and rear surveillance and the other for side and front surveillance. These two lenses provide a large coverage area that covers important areas to ensure safe driving. The specific lens coverage area can be customised according to the camera’s mounting position and adjusted to meet different car models and needs.
Side Rear Surveillance: the side rear lens covers the rear of the truck, including the rear wheels and side rear vehicles. This helps prevent blind spots at the side and rear and reduces the risk of reversing accidents.
Side Front Surveillance : The side front lens monitors the front of the truck, including the front wheels and side front vehicles. This helps to identify potential collision risks in advance and reduces the risk of accidents when changing lanes and turning.
With this configuration, the system is able to provide comprehensive monitoring, covering areas not covered by traditional side-view mirrors, thus improving the safety and convenience of truck driving. Special attention needs to be paid to adjusting the angle of the camera to the specific situation to ensure the best coverage area for different driving needs. The professional nature of the installation and adjustment ensures that the system delivers optimum performance.
